ACC 2010 Features Debate on Industry Support of Education

On Tuesday March 16th at 8:00am, there will be a debate at the American College of Cardiology Meeting in Altanta Georgia on Industry support, academic actitivity and physician education:  are the potential influences collaborative or confounding.

The debate features Robert Harrington, MD, Director of the Duke Clinical Research Institute vs. Steven Nissen, MD, Chief of Cardiology at the Cleveland Clinic.

Both have been strong advocates for their positions.  This past summer Dr. Nissen testified in the Senate Aging Committee hearing on CME. This promises to be a lively event.

are the potential influences collaborative or confounding is really very good topic for debate I also think that there should be some specific solution for these kinds of issues because they are very sensitive.
