12th Annual Transparency and Aggregate Spend Conference

The Twelfth Annual Transparency and Aggregate Spend Conference is scheduled for August 20th – 22nd, 2018, at the Ritz-Carlton in Washington, D.C. This conference is the largest meeting place for pharma, biotech, and medical device professionals to stay up to date with state and local regulations, as well as federal and emerging global regulations for spend reporting.

During the afternoon of the first day, attendees will have the opportunity to attend one of two pre-conference workshops: Medical Device Transparency Reporting or Guidelines for Global Transparency Reporting.

On Tuesday, August 21, 2018, Day Two and the official opening of the conference, attendees will hear from myriad stakeholders on a wide variety of transparency topics, including Robin Usi at Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Some topics to be discussed include: gift bans and the state-by-state transparency and aggregate spend regulations; the impact of state pricing transparency; and how to “step up” your data analytics program. The day closes with a choice of four concurrent working groups followed by a wine and cheese reception.

On the morning of Wednesday August 22, 2018, attendees will have the opportunity to attend five of nine concurrent sessions, an opportunity designed to allow all participants to customize their own learning experience. Each session is in a different format, including working groups and extended session. The afternoon closes out with discussions on transparency of financial relationships between patient-advocacy organizations and the life sciences industry and the essentials of change management.

Our readers may also be interested in knowing that Thomas Sullivan, Editor of Policy and Medicine, will be giving a review of the four years of Open Payments data, along with what the media has covered on Open Payments in the last year.

If you are interested in attending, you can register here. Registrations submitted before June 15th, 2018, will receive a $300 discount from the standard rate.
