Last week, the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) released updated drug transparency draft reporting templates and instructions for drug manufacturers, pharmaceutical representatives, and pharmacy benefit managers.
Some of the forms included in the release are templates for compensation and samples reporting; drug manufacturer essential drug reporting; drug manufacturer price increase reporting; PBM reporting; and new drug manufacturer registration.
Also included in the release are instructions on how to complete the above-named forms, as well as instructions on new drug manufacturer registration and pharmaceutical representative registration.
Nevada DHHS is asking for interested entities to review the drafts and provide comments or recommendations to DHHS before the documents are finalized. Comments are due by August 14, 2019 to drugtransparency@dhhs.nv.gov. Updated templates and instructions will be posted online on or before August 16, 2019.
According to Scott Jones, the manager of the Primary Care and Health Workforce Development Office (PCHWDO) within DHHS, notes that DHHS has developed an updated system and process for pharmaceutical representative registration. DHHS is expected to begin rolling out the updated template individually with each manufacturer in the upcoming months. Each template will be customized to each manufacturer and will make the registration process more efficient.
