2014 will be a big year for the Physician Payments Sunshine Act. The March 31 reporting deadline for all transfers of value to physicians and teaching hospitals is approaching fast. Doctors will then be able to raise disputes with drug companies before the information is made available to the public on September 30, 2014.

In order to prepare for the year ahead, interested stakeholders can attend the Sixth Annual National Disclosure Summit, which will be held in Washington, DC at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City at Reagan National Airport from February 5-7, 2014. The Summit will offer pharmaceutical and medical device professionals the opportunity to gain insight into the Sunshine Act with the help of senior government regulators, as well as an array of industry experts and leading consultants who have been at the frontline of Sunshine compliance for several years.

In-house experts will also share their experience on emerging best practices ranging from project management to building scalability and sustainability. The Summit will also provide a comprehensive update of the rapidly evolving transparency requirements now taking shape across the globe and offer timely advice on creating a global aggregate spend and disclosure program.
