On Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at 11:00 am EDT, qordata is hosting a webinar on how to use analytics to reduce compliance risks. The webinar aims to cover a compliance officer’s perspective on how to use analytics to enhance existing compliance and monitoring programs.

Attendees will get a hands-on walk-through of top three methods that compliance officers can use to effectively monitor spend programs and reduce spend submission risks throughout the year.

Agenda

The webinar will start with discussion of general compliance auditing and monitoring, including in office and speaker meal spend versus policy (limits, attendees, caps, etc.) and textbook and reprint distribution. From there, discussion will turn to “advanced” monitoring using Open Payments data, future analytics, how to find non-compliant payments, identify outliers based on benchmarks and business rules, and how qordata’s Open Payments Analytics can help analyze spending patterns and cover compliance risks.

Speakers

You will hear from Benjamin Yao of Astellas Pharmaceuticals and how analytics can be used to reinforce compliance policies and processes, and successfully meet Open Payments and state reporting requirements. Ben is responsible for US transparency activities at Astellas Pharmaceuticals, a top 20 international pharmaceutical organization. He is a member of the PhRMA Sunshine Act Reporting Work Group and Chicagoland Transparency Roundtable.

To cover the medical device perspective, Kelly Tope, Esq., MBA, Director of Compliance and Transparency Reporting, US & Canada for Zimmer Biomet, will provide insights on their use of analytics. Kelly’s primarily responsibilities include HCP arrangements, transparency reporting, compliance training, and IT systems relating to compliance (e.g. aggregate spend, HCP contracting, LMS, policy management).  Kelly previously held the role of Director – Global Compliance Operations at Biomet.

Finally, Mohammad Ovais, qordata’s CEO will cover how Pharma and device companies are using qordata’s Open Payments Analytics to analyze spending patterns and cover compliance risks.
